Xj axel swap

Looking for some help on steering on my xj...just installed full with ford dana 44 /9 inch...with the wide axles I lost some of the steering the xj gear box is bottoming out... has anyone else had this problem?...thanks

You need a longer pitman arm or shorter steering arms on the knuckle (if you're running high steer).

longer pitman arm is probably the easiest solution

WJ arm just have to file the double spline into it.Or this

I ran one off an older f150/Bronco. Got the one for a lifted truck, it's the same drop as an XJ drop pitman arm.

I just did a 06 F350 d60 with Barnes weld on high steer arms. This j10 pitman arm is an 1" longer. I haven't been able to find anything longer with the correct drop that will also bolt up to a stock xj box. So this is what I'm going to order this week Along with a longer ram.
