Mounting a phone in your rig.

The AJK Offroad mount is sick. It clamps the phone In extremely well. I usually don't even wrap the extra rubber "holder" around it.

just pick what size tubing you have and what size phone or tablet and boom you're done.

This guy right here

when did that happen? also on your buggy the way RustyC has his mounted in one of those sealing otter box things would work. Could put it on the dash or down near the shifter

At Wheelin in the Country. We'd been playing on some ledges and when we decided to keep going I noticed my phone wasn't where it usually was. Started looking around the rig and couldn't find it. Mark's wife noticed it in the skid plate and Erica fished it out from there without getting burned or any damages to the ole' iPhone 5s.

@smbroady82 and @Jacksonwolf39 thanks for the info/links. Will look into both of those.

I have been using the ram mount for a few years and really like it. I dont move it much but if I did I like the crawtunes quick release.

I just put this mount in my Jeep. I had to weld in a small piece of 1 1/4 tubing to mount it but it works great.

I got it from amazon GUB bike and Motorcycle Mount. $21.00

just do what i do.... throw it in the back pack and strap the pack to the cage. I tend to not answer my phone when i'm riding because that's my time. Thats also why i never take pictures though.

Good to know there.

Gotta be able to take pictures or able to answer the phone for when we all get turned around/separated.

I use a ram mount. Phone is the radio so I like to keep it accessible. Holds great.

Has anyone rolled with their phone in the Ram mount? Did it hold? Or take a super hard bounce? Any complaints?
There is a rubber piece you can see in the picture I posted that will stretch over the edges so it definitely cant go anywhere. I dont use that at all and have no concerns. I keep my phone sideways so left or right is the only way it could slide out I guess but I can't see that happening. Mine has been beaten pretty good and never moved.

I gotta get me one of these. Last ride my phone bounced out my shirt pocket on a rough section

Broady was right, this happened and my phone never moved. Even was down one of the little rubber feet thingys because at some point I lost one that night. Ram X Grip seems to be the way to go.
