Stephen Broady's "An Actual Trail Rig" build

Trans cooler choice was easy. I've used CBR products on my own personal buggy with great results. We went with the largest double pass option they had for the space we had to work with.

Here is the part# and diagram for anyone interested

Do you wire the fan to pull or push air in this position ?

Pull. There is a 1-3/4" - 2" ish air gap between the firewall and the fan. Also, I will be cutting an opening and installing some wire mesh on the fire wall in front of the face of the cooler. So it should draw some air from the passenger compartment as well.

Fantastic build Chris and Sylvester and cannot wait to see this thing in action as this has been a long time coming. That parts list is second to none and will for sure be at the top waiting on others to follow.
Big question is, what are you going to call it? You don't have one hair on your ass if you don't name it "Turf Mode".

Nice! Have him build the passenger side grab handle on the inside of the panel like that blue buggy he finished out awhile back. Always thought that was a great idea.

It's a "Trail Bouncer"

That's how mine is. I love it. T-handles look like ass and get in the way of the passenger IMO. Top right of the pic you can see it. Buggy is looking BAD ASS Wizzo and Broady.

Thanks! Broady is spending money in the right places for sure. It should be a very dependable trail rig.

The blue one Wizzo finished out was the first one I'd seen in person with the passenger handle inside the panel. Totally agree with you regarding the T-handles.

Build is looking good.

Its hard to tell from the picture but that grab handle by the panel looks like a good way to loose fingers if that takes a hit there. Maybe its more than 4 inches off the panel given the camera angle?

It's the camera angle. It's not that close to the panel.

the cooler that Wizzo is building a rack for holds 38 :drinkers:;)

I haven't got around to building the rack for rays buggy yet, but we bounced one of these around on zipties for a weekend at hale and it held up awesome considering the way it was attached.
