2.0 with completed pictures

Well my transmission took a **** after clanking in second gear since I built it. Got Ed @ PTC to rebuild and upgrade it. Rebuilt my torque converter. While I have it torn do I have replaced the derale cooler with a new CBR dual pass transmission cooler from PCR and new Fragola lines and fittings. Also changed ujoints and carrier bearings. Going to build a heat shield for the steering cooler lines.

We I also had the buggy rewired while it was down the guy knocked it out of the park got ride of all plastic loom, cleaned it up, braided loom and heat shrink.

Now after getting back from the Ultra4 race I feel like I need a 4800 class buggy.

I like this idea! Check out Kevin Porterfield (4426), Brian McVay (270), and Phillip McGilton (47). They all run WOD chassis in the 4400 class, but it would give you an idea of all the safety changes that would need to be made to yours in order to pass tech etc.

Ha I figured that may be the actual case. Just slap some DOT 37's on there and go run the race course at AOP. Could compare your times to the lap times from last weekend to see how your buggy would stack up to the other 4800's.

Next time I'm at AOP I want to run the race course just to see what our actual time would be while crawling vs the racers.

My rig would not make it and wallet would come even shorter. Haha

I started my stop watch, when Josh Blyler left the line, I wanted to know how long it would take them to run the woods. He popped out of the woods in 17:08 with Erik Miller on his tail. Interestingly, that was the same as Miller's fastest lap time.

I think Bailey Cole ran the course in under 17 minutes.

Understand that for sure! Next time you are at AOP you should run the race course just for a fun comparison.

I figured the 4400's would be under 20 minutes on a good lap. We "preran" it Thursday night and it took about 45 minutes for us at crawler speeds and getting lost once (took five minutes to run that trail that connected us back to the race course).

Correct. The fastest lap time of any class was Bailey Cole's at 16:59.343, which I believe was his last lap.

A few of us went riding a few weeks ago and I used the front axle to bust some rocks. In the process I put some dings in the front ram mount. To keep that from happening again, I went and got some 1.750 id .250 Dom. I had a piece machined a piece out of it to scab onto the outside of the 1.750 mount. It turned out pretty good and should not get anymore dents in it. While I had the front end apart I had the tie rods turned down. That way it would no longer be a huge shoulder and now it they are tapered down to the jam nut.
