81 toyota truggy

Well I bought the truck like it is in the first picture. specs are, 350, th350, 205, 4.10s and open f/r, leaf springs all around and 3in body and 38s. I decided to clean out he moldy bug infested cab and put in bedliner on the floor and back of cab. I also remounted the shifter and put in some buckets.
The truck had a broken axle so I also put in some Bobby Longs.

More project

The bed is now off, I have mounted my tool box, a high dollar flat bed, and have 39.5s. I have also done some smaller stuff like a front ubolt flip, front fender cut, frame cut off at end of rear springs, reinforced crossmember, welded the rear and also tried out a buggy leaf which was pretty much a waste of time.

future mods

In the future I plan on tubing up the rear, moving front axle forward, 4link f/r, hydro steer, 5.29 and lockers. I got some shocks the other day and had to play around a little bit and start tearing down the truck.

I can just barely hear it, its very quiet. I have been in some trucks that that had them coming in though the firewall and there were very loud though. Most of the time Ill just be using a regular K&N, but I got bored one day and decided to build it just in case I ever needed it.

Thanks, There are not very many good wheeling spots around. I mostly have just been into mud and there are some people and some of my friends who let us tear up their fields. I built my first truck for the mud and now Im building the toyota for the trails and hopefully Ill be able to go do some real wheelin somewhere else.

Ill have some new progress pix up tomorrow night.

Heres a couple pics form the other day. Ive got crossmember done and tacked in place. I bent a little tube and it didnt turn out to bad for my first ever tube bending experiance. Im just kind of playin around a bit right now. Im planning on putting a good full day of work in on monday so Ill keep ya posted.
