went out today with spicker and big truck to the local scrap yard. there are some good parts out there. big truck picked up a 205 off a sm465, a divorced 205, and a york air compressor for like $25. were going back out tomorrow to get some shifter linkage and a new yoke for my 203. we found all kinds of goodies out there, if any of us ran fords there is a dual overhead cam V8 with fuel injection (not sure on displacement). usually anything from the drivetrain piles is 0.15 a pound.

it has been pretty cold and i cant get my trucks in the shop yet so im working on this thing in the yard lol. good thing i dont live in town. well i cut the top off the parts truck and the back wall of the cab. i know not much but i had to go bury my grandfather last week and this week its freezing so. i had to cut the cab up because theres no title and no scrapyard would take it whole w/out a title.

edit: the chevy in the background i picked up for free, traded a pellet stove for it, the pellet stove was free also lol

yah right now im thinking since the title is MIA for the chevy i might be sticking an old willys pickup body on the chassis.

well i finally got the truck into the shop (finally got the shop cleaned enough) pulled the exhaust off to have the shop fix it. i dont know what the previous owner was thinking, put 2 1/2 inch pipe over 2 inch pipe and only welded the bottom of the pipe. they also welded the two mufflers too each other and the hanger from the muffler its self.

well i did quite a bit of work but nothing really picture worthy, just a bunch of small stuff.

bolted seat down
changed rear output yoke on transfercase
timing
new coil
adjusted carb
new ujoints in front driveline
bolted drivers mirror on door
installed light switch
patched rust hole in drivers side floor

still have new tranny filter and gasket to install, new cap and rotor, trying to get it up to snuff before i go and start molesting the body.

well i picked up my new tires 38x12.50x15 swamper tsl on steel wheels. took them to the tire shop and had them siped (sp). heading to harbor freight hopefully monday maybe tuesday for a high speed air body saw. then the fun will begin. and picking up the new brake pads and parts for my 3/4 ton axles to swap in.

oh **** didnt realize u were that far yeah ya know could i make a suggestion unless u plan on using it repeatedly over and over just go rent one i am pretty sure sunbelt or united rentals will have that there. IF u plan on using it for awhile dont be cheap and get a good tool it is way worth it in the long end cause it seems that one time u need the tool the most life or death it breaks

yah i do plan on using it quite a bit, have a couple rigs for people to chop. i figured a high speed air body saw would be better than hacking it with my sawzall. even if it is a cheaper one.

well ive been having internet issues so here goes the third time im trying to upload this. got a couple things done.

new grant steering wheel
new distributor cap
new rotor
mounted the new coil (PO had it bouncing on the intake)
new U-joints in the front driveline

im like a fat kid running for the ice cream truck when i see the UPS truck comming up the driveway. he brought me my new dash mount for my GPS.

well since were planning on going up to the mountains sunday i really need to get things done on the wagon. i bought a new intake, carb, fuel pump, choke cable. so far this week i have replaced the intake and installed the new carb, changed the oil, changed the tranny filter, new thermostat, resealed the valve covers.

the tire shop ordered the wrong tires, i ordered BFG mud terrains and got all terrains. so the new ones are suppose to be in tomorrow.

well i got the wagon up and running on friday. got the new carb all tuned in and ready to go for sunday. saturday i was gonna load it on the trailer to haul it into the tire shop cause the previous owner put locking lug nuts on every wheel stud, and i mean EVERY wheel stud. so the tire shop has to break all the wheel studs and replace them to put my brand new 35 inch BFG's on. so i go start the wagon up, starts right up, drive it up the shop and load the new tires in the back, drive back down to the trailer to load it up and its leaking like a faucet from the intake to the head didnt seal. i was pissed, tired, and really sick so i said screw it and took another swig off the day quill and went back to bed.

sunday me and some of the guys from work went wheeling in the snow. i took my tow rig and there will be pics posted up later today.
