So i am thinking about chopping my frame how would u got about stiffening it up so i can flex it out and not worry about it breaking and have some crazy thick c channel i was thinking of bracing the welds with? would do u think?

Just move the hangers forward on the frame. If you need to you can "C" the frame. Look in "Trucken" (or=) magazine for a company that offers a universal "C" kit for lowering a Fullsize PU and use it to clear the axle at full stuff.

cut the frame.......weld back up........samwich the welds with 3/8's flat stock on both sides and on top and bottom. also when u build your flat bed make it super strong and tie both front a rear portions together with it too. also if you do a cage itll help tons too
 
i dont recomend chopping your frame and welding it back together but if you do, just make sure you dont cut it at a straight 90* and butt weld it like this.

X2. Moving hangers is way easier than cutting the frame and scabbing it back together.

Then cut the excess of the back.
