First thing to be done is the front suspension

The angle of shock needs to be more verticle

Unfortunately there is a frame tube in the way

chop chop

Before locating the shock hoop some bump stops were made. There was some bad touching going on

Next is bending the shock hoop and putting more tube back on the frame

You think that's bad, they used to be here. I hope you don't plan on this giving you the ability to jump or rally, the only benefit you will get is not hitting the crank pulley.

I know there isn't enought travel and too much weight in front for getting air. At this point I'm looking for the small impovements and trying to maximize the performance of what I have:;

I bet with bump stops and stiffer shocks I can crawl a little faster over things:fawkdancesmiley:

how much adjustability do you have with the valving, oil level and nitrogen pressure?

I am new these style shocks so I dont know the answers to your questions. I do know that the nitrogen pressure is adjustable and effects the ride height. Other than that, I am still learning so If you find anything out let me know.

What brand are they? This is our second year running walker's 2.0 air shock, and we've gotten pretty good with dialing in the oil level, nitrogen, and valving... Then again our car is only 500lbs wet...

Is the shock going to clear the intake when the passanger tire drops out?

I'll check that. I put the tiniest tack on the shock tab for the picture. I still have to cut the tabs to match the radius of the tube. The tabs can be rotated to any position on the hoop.:awesomework:

The shocks are made by Fox. Doing the mini baja eh? That program looks fun. At UW they did Formula SAE so I did my own project and built an offroad skateboard with a chainsaw engine.

looking good cisco . dont stop just keep working on it alittle everyday

Thanks for the help with the bender:cool:

yeah, doin the baja... we're hosting this year's west comp, so my activity has risen greatly...lol... From what i remember when i did a bunch of research last year and this year for shocks the fox's didn't have as much adjustability as the walkers... But if you can adjust the nitrogen pressure i would play around with that... If you can change the valving then let me know and i'll pass on all the information i know, and share what we've gone through... If you do start playing with the nitrogen pressure make sure you have the shocks unloaded, as the oil has no problem coming out the shraeder valve... bad deal!
