Tuff Truck Damage

One shock bent and blew out and the other on is ok. I do have longfields inside but have not taken the front apart yet to see how they are.

I'm a toyota guy but what would make you think you could jump one and this not happen ?

I figured it would probably happen. halfway through my second run I could feel something was already broke or bent cause and I could not turn very good so gave er all she had over the last jump to finish it off. was planning on doing a frontend rebuild this week, why not trow in a new housing while im at it.:D :D

And this kids... is why you don't jump solid axles...

No, this is why you truss solid axles. I did the same thing do my D30, so I trussed my axles. This way when my jeep takes to the air at moses lake, the axle won't smile all the way home like it did last year.

Nice pics, glad to hear it was a good time down there. We were planning on going but my god damn wheels didnt show up:mad: so we couldnt make it, we'll definately be there next month, hope your truck makes it back:beer:

Great shots, at least nothing snaped. Most the enertia was used up in the bending of the axles'. Between that and the Jounce shocks I bet it didn't feel too bad inside.

Good luck getting it back together.

Jumping like that is where my UPNDAIR nickname for my truck (it's on the license place). I was jumping like that, blew out the entire front end and had to limp about 15 miles back to the campsite.

Big tires + Big air = Big damage :booo: Now you guys see why we run little tires on our race rigs and axle trusses are a good idea as well. So is a balanced rig that dosent land on its nose:eeek: But then again our racers arnt much good for rock crawling:eeek:
