I have an IR but I used to have a craftsman.
As far as I know it is still running, Hip is it still running?
It has been around for years and I have had no issues with it.
If you want it to last I would stick with the better brands over harber fraud stuff.

All 3 impacts we have are IR (don't remember specific models, I'm pretty sure the 1/2" and 3/4" are older than me anyway, 1" is pretty close to them), they get used all the time, and never have a problem.
