Rimrock on the 4th of July

I got to Bakeoven flats about 6 on Tuesday afternoon. Tony, Ken, and Dan were there at camp, so I unloaded and got set up.

Home sweet home for a week.

Wednesday we wheeled Narrowneck Gap, and then on down to blue slide. I forgot my camera, but Dan has a video of me doing a pretty fancy wheelstand on one of the obstacles on Narrowneck. Mike took out his fuel pump and in the process of trying to get it to level ground, he burned up his starter soleniod too. After getting himself off the trail, he got the rig fixed and was ready for another day. We headed to camp and had a beer or 10.

Thursday we headed for Pucker Ridge. Ken took up the lead and we slowly traversed the off camber, steep trail.

After that we got back to camp and made a fire the easy way. Lighter fluid and an empty case of Ranier.

Burn, baby, burn.

Friday we had to head into town to get parts to fix Mike

BTW, Ken is probably one of the best equipped and most knowledgeable guys around for RR as well as Naches and Liberty. That lil' flattie goes GOOD!

Looks loke a good time Karl, And doin Otter slide backwards huh?

The Butcherknife trail is a bypass for the actual Butcherknife trail but alot funner than the actual. :redneck:

Obviously thats the other Dan, not Bowie? :redneck: He runs the old school leaves on his rig.

How did Kevin trow the joint? Let em guess....Wheel stand?:redneck:
yeah, different Dan, and how Kev broke is a mystery. We were in the loose stuff, and he was kinda getttin' it, and when he got to the top, I'd heard a 'clank clank' sound that was reminiscent of leaf spring slap. Kev heard it too, and got out to look and it was the two axles pieces hitting together. Where exactly it broke is a mystery. No shotgun loud bang or anything. And the axle was still turning all the way to the top.

Nothing dramatic this time..... what a bummer to be broke after wheelin for less than an hour.:booo:

I spoke with someone with CTM (not Jack) on friday. He said if I broke on then likely the other is about to go too (but actually I broke the other one last year- they never said anything about it then!).

Oh well..... I've got her pieced back together now.

They're trying to sell you more parts....

Looks like it was a good wheeling trip.:redneck:
