I usually deal with Southend Auto wrecking, just south of Renton off hwy 167. They've got an excellent electronics guy there, who does their rebuilds

I need winch parts too. Where can i find guality wire and ends to fix this shizzy in the auburn area. I would be going there monday.

well when my brushes burnt up I contact T-max directly. A new brush assy was only $10. So you might want to contact the manufacturer. I'm sure there not that expsensive.

In Tacoma Try SAE auto electric its right next to the Napa on south tacoma way by the mission and Star Ice and fuel(if you need better directions ask)

Hap is a great guy, he does starters and alternators and stands behind his work, I would guess he could find you a set of brushes for that, or rebuild it for you, and if not he might be able to recomend a place to take it

Bunk...

what the hell happened to yours? fire?? :eeek:

The winch switch stuck on. Needless to say i thought my hood and lights were gonna catch on fire. Happened around 1 in the morning.

Hopefully the motor still works, the solenoids still clicked so im gonna rewire it if i can find the right wire and ends tomorrow. Im praying tacoma screw of kent has wire, I know the kirkland store doesnt sell it anymore.

They'll probably have the loop ends, but I don't remember ever seeing 2ga wire at that store. Most welding shops should have it, though. The closest ones I know of around Auburn are Kent Ox (Central Ave, just south of Willis St.) or Praxair (West Valley, just North of 15th NW).

Thanks man.

might want to hook a kill switch up in the cab to stop that from happening again. I have been there and was glad to see the motor finally stall out and die

If that is an older 9000i there was a recall to replace the controller. Mine stuck running also, I got to the battery connection to stop it before it ran out of cable. They replaced mine for free after I yelled about the saftey issue of having a winch stick on run. A place in Auburn warrantied mine, forget the name.

Thanks Robin, it took a little bit to get them in, but Dennis hooked me up :awesomework:

Didnt see this before but for future reference Nelson truck supply in Kent is a factory auth. repair center. Thats where I got parts when I had a ramsey.
