so which do you prefer? i was looking around online; seems the going rate is around $350-$500 for a hideable ball. any reccomendations?

When I was looking it seemed that most liked the B&W turnover setup. So that's what I got. Rated at 30k and is built well. Pretty easy to install. But I had the bed off when I did it :redneck:

those came up most on the internet. how big of a hole did it intail in the bed?

I put the Reese Signature Series with the underbed rail kit in my dodge, my dodge, my dodge...

It'll let ya switch between a gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch.

so where does it mount to the frame or does it?

It's a 4" hole in the center of your bed you have to holesaw out of there.. Rails go under the bed and bolt to the frame rails.. I'll take a pic of mine when I get home.

yea, my bed's pretty. I have that rubber mat over the thing usually.

second pic is underneath, you can see the ball flipped upside down and the rails that go from frame rail to frame rail

Third pic is on the outside of the frame rail, Airbag mount is bolted to the outside of the gooseneck mount.

Pfffffffffff... I know y'all would rather have a 1/2" thick 3' by 4' metal plate in the bed of your trucks for your goosneck hide-a-ball like me :flipoff:
