looked like tire smoke to me, also sound's like a hater to me.

Like I said before. Mustang dyno's don't like high hp trucks.. Lenny ran 920's a few days before the powershop dyno day and couldn't get the truck to stay on the rollers to make a decent run. We had probably 10 guys in the bed of Lenny's truck to keep it on the rollers. It got better and better but still couldn't keep the tires on the rollers.. It was pretty amazing how fast it ramped up.

My numbers are pretty sad. I ran 406 and 889 torque. I talked to Lenny and my timing is 3-4* off and my boost is regulated real low. So hopefully I can get that fixed this week and run back up to his shop and dyno sometime next week if they've got an opening.

It was a good day though and got to BS quite a bit.

80 HP loss through the powertrain? Seems kinda high..

That really isn't that uncommon... Again depending on whos dyno you use you will get a different reading. When you look at that number he posted, you need to take into account, drivetrain loss, the manufacturing variance, and then the correction factor if one was used on that dyno run. Many shops now days will run trucks uncorrected to keep people from complaining about numbers...

Just curious, what kind of number's did the other big hp truck's lay down?

no excuses. thats within 9 hp...
and thats power to the ground....

for comparison purpose, a stock 305/555 dodge puts down around 225 hp to the ground depending on dyno.

whats your excuse for guessing what yours makes , it was a free event..

Ummm I work for a living. :flipoff:

You should know better than to bet paul... especialy with as much time as he spends in monroe..

yea I know, the little sh*t head told me last time he dyno'd was 540 something a while ago.. Then I talk to Lenny after the dyno run. No he ran there two days prior and got 630 something.. Little bastard.

340 in the 80 horse econo tune and the fuel pump begging for mercy at 2 psi (my regulator rides at about 75psi).

Just put it together so there was oil all over everything. The drive up there was the first time I've fired it in a month. Freaked the operators out, they thought it blew something up. I laughed in the guys face when he said I blew an intercooler boot. (there isn't a cooler on my truck)

BTW, having your winter shield on there didnt put a hurting on the numbers, the CAC only works with a significant amount of airflow across it. their more of a hindrance when their not cooling.

1997- 180,000 miles. AFE Intake, 4" exhaust, Superduty AD injectors and a chip. It should be putting a little more to the ground but I think my Torque converter still is not locking when it should and it sets a check engine light for low ICP- meaning I need a SD high pressure oil pump to keep up with the injectors. My graph looks ridiculously funny. Everybody elses dyno sheet went from low to high- mine starts at the top and then drops. You can tell where it runs out of oil and sets the CEL.

BCT also runs a 1997 7.3

jeeper- Thanks for the input. I have a 2000 with a GB Powerpack. I have no idea what it has for HP but GB CLAIMS a 104 HP increase at the rear wheels.
