Suck it butter cup lol. You could drag a small trailer and switch tires but that seems :gay: If you wont drive on tires just because they are stickies then this probably wouldn't be the event for you. Heating up stickies to make a obstacle probably does more damage than driving 500 miles.
Everyone "qualifies" just different classes. Unlimited guys are going 200+ mph so there is no such thing as overbuilt. Yes these cars are absolutely a stretch to being street legal especially here in PA but there getting away with it and its awesome.
The entire idea behind drag week, sick week, ultimate adventure, trail to sema etc is to leave the tow rig and trailer behind and drive your junk. Road miles are what adds to the adventure. Not very exciting to watch a bunch trailered rigs hit obstacles and then load back up.
Who is bcr fabrication? I googled, looked on facespace and IG and didn't come up with anyone that builds anything cool. Guessing your from the Pittsburgh area do you ever wheel in Wellsville?
@Wmikew06 Do you think the Pfrd stuff is worth it? I was actually thinking of making a post to see if guys think the more expensive cut off wheels are worth the money.
Probably hard to tell but this Green machine blew up right out of the box. Plugged it in and smoke started rolling out of it. 2nd time we got it back it wouldn't trigger the argon. 3rd time it was a good. I have been using it daily for the last 2 months and it has been good. I also have 2 other...
@whiskeymakin if you have no tig experience look into the Lincoln Square wave 200. While the othe options are good it will be much easier to learn when your not chasing other settings such as AC freq, balance etc. etc. It will be a much easier machine to learn on.
Looking at replacing the bushings and adding a wet bolt kit on a PJS buggy hauler. I came across this setup. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Leaf-Spring-Suspension/Dexter-Axle/K71-652-00.html Does anyone have any experience with these? There are a few different brands listed but look like the...
@BustedKnucklefilms recently found out about Seneca rocks in WV it's sorta a smaller less safe version of this hike. Bonus is it's a hell of a lot closer and the entire area is amazing if your into hiking. Someone needs to grab up some land because it would be a rockcrawlers dream over there.
Alright looking for info from the WV folks. Thinking of checking out the blackwater falls state park and surrounding areas. Anything that is a must see in the area. Probably be down that way for 2-3 days.
Got some windshield time in the last week and listened to both episodes. I generally don't have the attention span to listen to anything over 25-30 mins but i found both podcasts to be pretty entertaining. Good job.
The HAMB aka the jalopy journal is a forum that baffles me. It has it alot of chit chat BS but I would guess there is on average 5 new pages (30 to 50 new threads) daily on that board. The classifieds are great and get a ton of traffic etc. If it makes a difference it is super easy to post pics...
Absolutely keep this forum. I guilty as alot of the others with not posting but we build race cars/hot rods at our shop so it's not often that we have something that's on topic for this forum. That being said I still check this forum daily and will continue to do so. FB sucks for anything but...
