Built last year this buggy is all independent suspension. Super tough now. We've beat this thing pretty good and it comes back for more. Shocks need tuned and I'm positive it will be a top contender. It's wicked fast over really rough terrain. Nothing like driving a solid axle rig. More like...
One of the last event I raced. Give ya some comparison to straight axle rigs and how the buggy performs.
I'm the first buggy on the hill when the racing gets started

The Kracken buggy is for sale
I've injured my back again and just can't do rock bouncing anymore. Time for a change before I'm permanently damaged. Anyway

Oh I argree what money I have in mine prolly didn't even get that one drawn in cad...lol
But that thing is awesome I'm glad I'm not alone in my thinking. There execution is top notch. Mines more trial and error. Lots of error right now
I remember seeing you. I waved back but was nearly frozen...
Wheels straight. Very little. Wheels turned there some. I forget the measurements now. It's under .375"
They bend to the rear of the buggy. Mainly changes the caster witch does change the camber. But they don't bend to change camber initially. If that makes since. Really wish I had the bent...
That's precisely what I've been looking at is the rzr style trailing arm. I don't think any other would be strong enough rock bouncing. Somethings gonna have to Help control the toe with big tires.

I forgot about the pump jack bounty hill. There's in car view and a...
I was told they are nearly indestructible unless you run them out of oil.....Then they don't last half a mile lol. For me haven't even seen the slightest issue with them. thumb.gif
I got the 12K 32 spline version. I think the 10K are 30 spline best I remember.
It was just super soft at DTOR. I...
This things on a tiny 1.125 axle shaft. When they came in I was pretty skeptical. It's taken several full throttle landings and held up awesome. RCVs for the win!!!!
Cant wait to see what others bring to the table. That's what makes this sport great!
Just about any vid of it on YouTube...
The transfer case is a 1.96:1 and the diff gears 2.91s. I get what your saying about the tires and centerline. But only really had that trouble at DTOR. I think it's the weight on the rear causing the biggest problems. The fronts really light and just floats over the ground most the time. Rears...
I didn't go into it. I thought I had pics of the constant carnage but it appears i didn't take any or have deleted them if I did. Mainly the the Trailing arms/link suspension help slide over obstacles but with the rear A-Arms style i have it drops out and then more than half the tire has to make...
I have. I'm still trying to figure what would be strong enough with what I've already leaned about the rear of this thing. The torque the geared hubs put out is insane.

Need to slow the rebound down still. Getting there slowly but surly. :driving:
Google lol. I took what little info I could find from here and there, added it all together. Talked with a few people in the know and a great guy in New Zealand with a similar setup.
Oh yeah a huge pile of scap metal out back lol
It was very soft at DTOR. That was the first real time it had been drove. Since then it's had some shock work done and a spring change. It seams to do a lot better now. The bump steer in the rear was horrible also. That's all been straightened out too. It's been a trade off of getting it perfect...
