King of the Hammers (KOH) 2022

Giving the crack pipes out during Black History Month and no liberals are complaining. Can you imagine if Trump did that? The idiot liberal heads would be exploding.

    Let's see your tow rig!!!

I o-ringed and studded it. The turbo is a DPS Stage 1 62/65/12. The turbo hurt the bottom end slightly but it helped mid range and EGTs. I can still push the pyro past 1400 and if towing heavy, I watch it closely up big hills. The old HX35 turbo had a Super 40 wheel and housing. Total weight was...

    Let's see your tow rig!!!

I have 4.10s in my 12 valve K30 with 245/19.5s which are around 35". Perfect gear for that tire size IMO. I am also running a 62/65/12 turbo with 5x12 injectors. I popped a head gasket towing heavy with the HX35/40 Hybrid since it had too much drive pressure.

    Show off your trailer

I built a box out of 1/4" plate that fits over mine for theft prevention. It has a bottom plate and uses a shielded lock. It could still be stolen but it would make a lot of noise for it to happen. I definitely don't worry about it coming unlatched while towing. I use a locking pin.

    Show off your trailer

I wouldn't trust the quick pin type. I have a 10k trailer that is 25 years old with the Bulldog coupler and it has never given any trouble.

    Jeep jk 6.0 swap suggestions

You could do the same thing and use the GM control system similar to the way buggies are built. I cut my own harness down when I built the buggy but they are not expensive to have professionally done. https://www.150tunes.com/ did my ECM programming when the engine was stock and they will cut...

    What chassis would you run

My Evolution chassis has 14" front and I set I up 50/50 with a 20" belly. It is probably lower now since I haven't adjusted the springs since 2014.

    Gas or Diesel??

Towing packages make a huge difference on some trucks. A guy came to buy my 38' enclosed gooseneck and had a 3rd gen Ram 2500 with a Cummins and no factory tow package. We made a deal on the price but he wanted to see how his truck would handle it first. The trailer squatted that truck severely...

    Gas or Diesel??

I saw one of the new F150s towing around a 20' trailer with a late model Mega Cab dually on I840. It wasn't squatting.

    Flatbeds

After months of searching, I got lucky and found a used Western Hauler brand bed from a Kodiak on Craigslist. I had to cut the headache rack down for the F750 and enlarge the rear 19.5 wheel openings for 22.5s.

    Brake Question

Try loosening the master cylinder mounting nuts and see if the booster rod is depressing the M/C piston. I had brake drag on my JKU with the J8 M/C booster combo and the piston was being depressed 3/16". I used a 3/8 drill bit to deepen the hole in the piston.

Why do you stick with this hobby?

I went back and re-read this thread. I like this quote:

How many HL guys went to this event?

I am sure my lab counterparts in England have read this story since it is in the Daily Mail. They asked about carry permits and thought it was wild that we can carry guns in public. Hopefully this will prove to them how reserved we are that no one was shot during this event. :ROFLMAO:

    Burris valley ranch

Tackett Creek is awesome and Gatekeeper lives up to it's name. My son in law was driving my buggy and got the rear drive shaft hung on a ledge. I should have told him to bump the starter with the ignition off but I said "start it". Hydro locked the motor, bent a rod, and the buggy was dead...
