    The 2009 that I am building has 169k miles and the engine has been replaced with a junkyard engine. No idea what happened to the original but it took out the passenger catalytic converter which they didn't replace.

    Why are all truck drivers big pieces of ****?

    I have more trouble with the drivers that won't pass a slow car on a 2 lane but won't space out so someone else can. Also can be driving 15mph over the speed limit and there will be a woman riding my bumper that won't pass. Very rarely an issue with a truck driver.

    No, they installed the door about 4 years before I had them to come back and install the opener. They do great work and do a lot of installs in my area. He just said he had seen the shaft twist after extended use on a wide heavy door. It doesn't sound like a widespread problem if others are not...

    The guy who installed my16x12 door talked me out of a jackshaft opener. He said that he had seen the shaft twist on the big doors causing it to operate unevenly and bind. I like them better than a chain drive but was afraid not to take his advice.

    Random Thoughts

    They destroyed the transmission control harness on my Son's 07 Power Wagon. Three inch sections of wire were missing. They also ate the posts off of some core batteries that I had behind my shop. They are Satan Rats.

    Dorman 610-347 is what I found online. I reused the metric studs because they matched my rear 14 bolt. There is plenty of length through my wheels.

    Gooseneck/bumper pull

    A friend of mine had a 20' tag along converted to a gooseneck and added 4' to the front deck with an enclosed steel box for tools. It was used to haul a Chevelle drag car. It definitely towed better as a gooseneck on the curvy roads.

    I don't know if I would trust it. The 5500 wheel bolt pattern is really small and it doesn't have air brakes.

    My first engine rebuild when I was 17, (40 years ago) was a Chevy 396. I put a high volume / high pressure pump in it and it would drain the stock pan. I have installed stock oil pumps in my engines since then.
