    Rockwells make your sac swell!

He worked on it more than he posted. He even drew up a cheaper simplified version in CAD I had an idea on. Basically a premium and simple version. Being able to use a non custom part for something like a stub that is often the fuse is a good thing.

    14 bolt steering axles.

I'm pretty sure some folks have just welded 60 spiders in place of the 14 bolt ones with a little alignment and a lot of welding to Lincoln lock it. I remember when the Tanners used to snap 35 spline RCVs like crazy. I saw 3 go at once on a hill. Bobby had a front HP 60 that took major abuse...

    14 bolt steering axles.

If re-using the stock shafts you could weld the stock spiders in the carrier really good instead of a spool to save some money. Could make it plenty strong for stock shafts. I probably wouldn't do it for something like 35 spline Branik 1550 stuff though. Not sure i see the need to go 14bolt...

    14 bolt steering axles.

I was going to say basically the same. What is your goal with strength? I'm guessing pretty stout if you are thinking a high pinion Ford 60 ring and pinion won't cut it up front. What I was going to do is put the big Super 60 F450/550 outers on with standard 05+ unit bearings replacing the 10...

    Random Thoughts

I had read about that before too. We had a big problem with them at work. They were chewing fenders and running boards bad. People complained a lot and there started being less squirrels. I think they trapped them.

    Found buggy insurance

Well I might not want to pay for a policy that costs as much as my buggy would be to replace. But could cover the bulk of it. Or they might not agree it is worth as much as you think it is to replace but your willing to pay the higher premium. I like stated value for my shop and contents on my...

    Best buggy skin material

A build thread would be great. I would definitely like to see and hear more about it.

    Cut Off Wheel Thickness???

I use normal thickness and thin blades frequently. Im a little more gentle setting the grinder down with the thin so I don't damage it but thats it. As a positive. The thin makes less dust since there is less material on the disk and it moves less material being thin.

2004 Yamaha Rhino 660 Long Travel Build

This past week I put a power steering kit on mine and bolted the inner CVs in the Diff because the square clips didn't hold them in. Got me wondering if you rode yours at GAP.

    Looking for a tow pig

Wow! Definitely a screaming deal. You are right if it was cosmetically nice it would bring about twice that.

    Trail Comms

That is good info. Yeah I thought to transmit you had to pay the $70 for a 10 year approval. I did not know that about the rugged radio channels though. That is nice as long as everyone has one.

    Trail Comms

I thought anything over 5w you had to get the certification?

    Trail Comms

Agree, that works some of the time. Also the biggest issue we run into is when some rigs can't hit certain trails due to difficulty, we get separated. Bypass and meet us at the end doesn't always work. I need to get radios but haven't. Do yall have everyone in the group certified to use them?

WTB Warn 8274 winch upper housing.

Looking for a Warn 8274 upper housing. Doesn't have to have gears or bearings. One of mine fell off where I had it setting and cracked/bent the housing so I'm looking for one. All I can find is a new one for $260 Which is about what I paid for the entire winch and more than the last one...

    Trail fix pix thread

Thanks for bumping the thread. I have only had small stuff lately. I did have a fuse block that had a loose terminal that drove me crazy at AOP. It would show about 12V so I passed it up on checks a few times. Once I figured it out I just pulled the leads out of the back of it and just wrapped...

    Tig rig recommendations

I started learning Tig years ago with older comercial Miller machines. It seemed like any little contamination would kill the bead and was generally very finicky. Some of the newer inverter machines are definitely the way to go unless you have years of experience with the older style. The AC...
