Id try some different ball joints first man . Ive always had good luck with moog ball joints .Thats crap on them not lasting that long . I see why your looking for an alternative.
They're pricey but I was really satisfied with michelin at 2's . Quitest , smoothest AT Ive ever had. Im in muddy fields constantly and was pleased with the traction I got. I dont think they offer it in a load range f tho .
I bet that rig has hurt alot of people's feelings . Something else I often wonder is if anyone has played with aircraft aluminum tubing chassis yet on a buggy. I realize its not very cost effective but I'm sure someone has.
Yea 2k is alittle on the light side . I have no idea what the average bare chassis weighs but I do know that stickys and beadlocks weigh 180 a piece . Just happened to see some on a scale the other day . Id say its possible it could still be under 3k . Again this all relies on technology...

I had similar problems a few weeks back ,not on a cherokee but a wagoneer. Are you running disc front and drum rear or disc/disc ? And did you bleed the master cylinder?
