Pulling a large trailer and not having a CDL

My understanding, in NC atleast: - 26k limit on your license does not include RVs. - Weight rating on your tag, includes truck, trailer, and all load; but is not needed when hauling an RV. - Only "Property hauling vehicles" are required to have a weighted tag. Most SUVs, RVs, and some vans are...

Single seat rear engine buggy build

Thats badass. The proportions make it look like a rzr buggy. Im interested to see the weight bias.

    05+ SD60 wheels

From looking at that picture, it looks like the high steer arm is not over the factory TRE hole, to allow double shear, like the BK arms? Wonder if there would be more clearance issues?

Comanche Tube Chassis Truggy Thing Build

X2. I doubt you will remove the cab that often, once the build is finished. If you need to, cut the tube, and then slug it when you put it back together. If you put bracing in the other 2 directions on each side of that joint, it might help it stay aligned longer, but you will likely add a...

Drag Week / Rocky Mountain Race Week...for the offroad crowd?

Also, with alot of states now allowing SxS on the street, Ive wondered if one could get a buggy registered as a sxs? I guess it depends on the laws, but NC doesnt seem to list a max engine, wb, size etc.

Drag Week / Rocky Mountain Race Week...for the offroad crowd?

Speaking of ^^, maybe the BFG Ontrail app or some other mapping software could "sponsor" and be used for tracking people, along with the pictures? Maybe you also get Tread Lightly involved, and add a Gambler style twist for trail cleanup points? To the point, maybe for the "trail only" rigs...

    Dodge dana 60

Yup. It isnt real clear when they started the non-CAD 60, but I have seen/heard of them in trucks from 00+. I have an 02, with CAD, so there was no guarantees. Pretty sure they continued the flipped knuckle concept into the AAM trucks. Someone on Pirate/Irate posted a way to eliminate the...

    Dodge dana 60

00+ dodge, with no CAD had a different knuckle setup than the older ones, and the ford knuckles will not work. If you have 94-99 Dodge axle with CAD, the Ford BJ knuckle will fit, like said above.

King of the Hammers (KOH) 2022

I thought their chassis used the IRS with the 3rd in one of the arms? Yeah, he said that they left the short course gears in the axles. One of the commenters mentioned the same thing about him not overdriving the car.

King of the Hammers (KOH) 2022

They spread the events out each day, and gave the UTVs their own race vs with EMC. Qualifying on Tues & Wed, UTV on Thurs, EMC Fri, 4400 Sat. The grudge match after the UTV race last night was pretty cool. Was kinda hoping that it would have a slower section to bunch the cars back up...

    Show off your trailer

Mine is more like this one: https://www.bulldogproducts.net/product/028243_square-rectangular-mount-trailer-coupler The sliding collar goes over the halves, to keep them from opening. There is a pin that goes through behind it, to keep the collar from sliding back. You could put a locking pin...

    Show off your trailer

I had the same thoughts about the quick pin type. I have a Bulldog on my landscape trailer, and have had it on a few equipment trailers. Never had any issues, and it doesnt bind up like the latches. When it is closed and locked I have alot more confidence vs some of the latch styles Ive used...

    Show off your trailer

Anyone ever used this type of coupler on a trailer? https://www.etrailer.com/Straight-Tongue-Trailer-Coupler/CURT/C82CR.html I prefer the bulldog over the standard latches, but that one seems interesting. Could see an argument for theft prevention too...

    Race Yota 4653

Does the fire suppression only activate when you pull the handle, or are their heat/smoke sensors too? I see that you are running a LP front. Maybe I missed it along the way, but why not HP? It's obviously holding up well, just curious. Also, is that a TG trunnion eliminator that broke?

Question for those with CTM/Yukon joints

Ever any issues with breaking off that grease fitting, or do you take it out and put in a plug once greased?

    Peterbilt flatbed

    42 treps

A friend had a set of 40s and then 42s. Both seemed to work well unless it was super muddy, once he got them broke in. He isnt easy on it, and never cut any of them down. He has switched to Mickeys to give them a shot, but hasnt had a chance to ride much yet.

    Peterbilt flatbed

Build the ramps beefy. A few of us have had to send buggies with broken front drivetrains, to get them on trailers, and the ramps show it afterwards. Which kinda brings a thought.... My concern whenever looking into steep ramps or custom buggy trailers, is "Can I load my buggy if I have a...

    YJ Build...just a little different.

Nice. A 2.3l zuk engine will get you a little more hp, and drop a few lbs. But best bet for engine swap without weight would be a boosted ecotec. I believe there is a 904 bellhousing/adapter out for them also.

    Vehicle Market predictions

The chips are coming in, and supposedly the supply is increasing, itll just take til 23 for the supply to reach enough for them to catch up. Not sure if that means enough extra to finish the ones sitting, or just enough to fill the demand at that time. I would guess that they would try to...
