    Vehicle Market predictions

From some of the articles I have seen, 2023 seems to be the current prediction of when the chip/conductor supply will catch up. Not sure about the other supply shortages they are likely facing. As you mentioned, what will they do with all of the inventory they have built. Will they push new...

How wide is too wide? Axles…

Back when rockwells were the rage, Guys were running them hubs out at 79" WMS. Like 105"+ outside tire width. But many were also running rear steer to help some with that and terrible turning of the rockwell.

    Flatbeds

We have an 08 at work. It uses a mix of truck and van parts in the cab. It has a duramax, and really needs a tune, as with a 20k lb truck it is a slug. I would also agree that getting it serviced is a pain. MD/HD truck shops dont really want to mess with it, and LD truck shops dont either.

    Rural King 42”Fan

Does it oscillate? I didnt see mention on the ad, and my local store doesnt have any in stock. We have a few pedestal fans in a friends shop and they are awesome. One oscillates and makes it so much nicer.

Why do you stick with this hobby?

In the same manner, I dont understand how people can spend thousands of dollars on gaming equipment or electronics. I also dont see how alot of people go through life without a hobby or outlet. Maybe that is why the divorce rate is so high.

is there play/slop in the upper joints or mounts?

    Mid level yj build

Most of what I have seen fail is upper BJ. Im sure the lowers could fail too, if a ujoint exploded. Four wheel supply out of VA made high steer arms for those knuckles, and machined them. His website is down, and I heard he closed, but might be able to contact him on FB and see if he will...

    Mid level yj build

You may not need highsteer, as the arms on the BJ axles are higher on the knuckle. I also believe there are BJ eliminators out for those axles, which would make them as strong or stronger than a KP knuckle. Could likely weld on high steer if need (similar to SD axles).

    Just another XJ

Get some of those Air Bake cookie sheets, mount them between the muffler and floor, with a ~1" air gap on each side. It should help dissipate alot of the heat. dont recall what fuel cell you have, but if you can gap it off the floor by an inch or 2, it will allow air to get under, even if the...

    Custom buggy hauler

I built something very similar for my old car hauler. The only real difference is I extended them past the fender so I could secure them in the stake pockets. I also hauled a number of other vehicles, so I wanted them to be easily removable.

    Custom buggy hauler

That melted spot seems to have the same height and size as the tire they are running. My guess is that isn't a coincidence. My bet is the holding force of those D-rings come from the bolts/screws holding it down. Could likely drill them to a larger size and gain some capacity.

    KMC beadlock issue

I cant speak to the boggers, but I had a set of overseas blem/AG 30" TSLs and they required double beadlocks because the bead was too big to stay on a standard 15" wheel bead. There are a number of folks who have ran those boggers, so they should fit. Also not sure if some wheels have...

    KMC beadlock issue

Are they "narrow", like 18" wide vs 19.5? I believe that was the tell on the ag boggers.

    Rockwells make your sac swell!

I have been thinking about this also. If you are planning to go RCVs or other shafts, then it likely isnt a big deal. Ive also thought about an adapter allowing you to put 05+ hubs on rockwell knuckles, to run rockwell stubs. Seems possible, not sure it is worth it.
