    Steering... Quicker

Based on those numbers it take 25.2 cubic inches of fluid to fill your cylinder in one direction. If you wanted 2-3 turns lock to lock, you'll need a valve with 8.4-12.6 in3/rev. Let's say you can turn lock to lock in a second. You should be displacing 25.2 in3 every second and the pump...

    Electric power steering

Re: Re: Electric power steering Some of them... the Saturn vue one is all in the column. My wife's durango uses a massive electric pump, with a traditional power rack. Here is a vue column:

    Brakes

Re: Re: Brakes The residuals are because of how big the caliper piston is vs the master. To get the correct force from the master, you need the smaller master, but it cant push enough fluid to completely fill the caliper... the residual keeps the caliper full, so you don't have to pump the...

    Trailing arms with air bags?

Bags had been used on offroad rigs for years, so this wouldn't be much different. The arms would definately still require something to keep it from wobbling. A bag isn't really any different than a coil spring or coil carrier, except its adjustable pressure/rate on the fly. It is also less...

    Never ending Samurai build...

Are you getting your info on motorcycle sites or some other place? I've only got a 2.0l now, but the individual carbs have always intrigued me... so much that I have thought about putting some on a v8.

    Paging Busted Knuckle Matt

Re: Re: Paging Busted Knuckle Matt X2. IMO one its on the internet for others to see its public info. As far as we know he found the pic on google, and didn't know whose it was. When I saw it posted it was captioned "show us your rearends" or something to that aspect. If you want credit on...

    Sold/Expired LAND - 53 acres Alpine/Allred TN

So is there a right of way to gain access through neighboring plots? Or is the trail technically a road? Curious what it would look like if you wanted to live out there.

    Just a simple Sami buggy

Re: Re: Just a simple Sami buggy Is that a 4wd trans? If so, what's your plan for the tailshaft/jackshaft? I'm keeping at eye on this.... I've got all the same parts and plans, just no time or energy to put it together.

    Never ending Samurai build...

When running, do you notice any compression in the cooling system? It looked like those 600 carbs had a tee in the vent between each carb pair already?

Where was you raised? Where’d you go? Where you at now?

Re: Re: Where was you raised? Where’d you go? Where you at now? I know it read just a stop but wouldn't have thought I'd see someone say hickory on here.

    Metal building with living area

It would kill the efficiency but I have thought, I would consider building the living area as a crawlspace with a thin concrete under, and/or leaving a narrow space between the interior & exterior walls DP that you could get in to repair/add in the future. Or maybe just 1 side and have all...

    Pics of your shops/garages/specs

Yog could do it either way, but for her storage room, you could save some $$ by not concreting it and doing wood floor. Might help pay for the bigger space. I would be tempted to do a 40x40 or 40x30 with leanto off each side and front overhang. Make 1 leanto the storage area.

    Propane injection questions

Re: Re: Propane injection questions On most there should be 2 screws. One is an idle mixture, other off-idle. Sometimes the idle screw is blocked/plugged. If you have a 425, it's 90* from the throttle shaft and a half turn knob. It's designed to fit a wrench on.

    Propane

I agree with most of you guys. My boys are young but they are made to do things themselves and learn consequences. They break something, they fix it or don't have it anymore. I know a few high school seniors. Someone put together a thing where folks could write inspirational messages and...

    4:30s front and 4:56 rear

Re: Re: 4:30s front and 4:56 rear I'm with Nick. 4.56s rear, 4.30 front. Having a slightly higher ratio up front will help pull the rig in turns and handle a little better. I wouldn't do it if it's a rig that might see street time.
