    Wheel Spacers Good Idea?

Hey folks due to my anxiousness in slapping the Heep together, I bought some 8" TR wheels that were like new and alot cheaper than new. I forgot to take into account that now my tires are going to be closer to my rear air shocks. What do you think be an about running wheel spacers for the rear...

    Overheating fixed

Nope couldn't find anyone local that would believe me when I told them I thought it was the timing. Kept getting, change fan, change radiator, change this, the chip would not be causing your troubles...so I finally just broke down and did it myself. One suggestion is if you are running a stock...

    Overheating fixed

The whole setup wasn't that bad...I bought an ALDL cable to log data to my laptop (around $60) then a moates burn1 programmer (around $85) then a bunch of chips off ebay that are 28 pin rewritable with the Burn1. The TBI ECM's are 24 pin, so you have to do a lil soldering to the 28 pin chips...

    Overheating fixed

Thanks hopefully in a couple of weeks I can get it back together right and finish the paint on the front end (looks like ass now, had a few tantrums). Don't think anyone named Mechano tossed in any advice but if he does, I will tell him Bones is missing him. Sounds like before the spark box...

    Overheating fixed

It is definitely a torque monster...I used to drive diesels in a previous life and it reminds me alot like driving them in the lower gears....top end is another story...Its running lean and I keep bumping up the fuel in the upper rpms, but still its running out up there so I am not sure how she...

    Overheating fixed

After months of working on the cooling system with no luck, I finally made some progress and now on the right track. The problem was not with the cooling system, but with the timing in my TBI chip. I broke down and bought all the stuff to program my own TBI chips and after much trial and error...

    Friday 4pm

Finally a thread where I can offer a little bit of advice...If its got a cinder block basement look at the mortar joints for cracks, white powdery stuff (usually signs of water coming in or blocks getting wet). Mold will smell musty, and you can see it in some cases. Carry a flashlight to look...

    Fuel Injection Problems

Ok so I got almost all the bugs worked out of the ole heep...Idle is good, temp stays about 190, no leaks etc...The last problem I have is when I go to wide open throttle she falls on her face fast....If I slowly rev through the RPM's to around 6000 its smooth like it should. I have ordered an...

    Cooling System??????????

I'm having the same trouble with the cad motor..runs around 225. I have been doing a lot of research, and one thing you might try that I have read alot of people with cad motors like mine is to drill 6 very small holes in the thermostat to let air and a tad bit of coolant to circulate. This...

Who would you loan your rig to?

Re: Who would you loan your rig too? It's funny this topic got brought up...I built mine so my friends and family could enjoy in the fun and drive as well as ride. I don't really have a list, but I used to let most anyone drive it if I knew them personally and liked them enough to socialize...
