I posted before on one of my work vans and you guys nailed the problem in 6 hrs when two different mechanics couldn't figure it out so here's another one. 07 suburban had a cracked head at 100k had two new heads put on with new water pump, timing set, belts, ect. Now when you start it the check engine light is on then the traction control light and stability light comes on. Sometimes shifts hard into first, second?? I'm taking it to the dealership tomorrow but thought I'd look for help? :dunno: thanks in advance

Unless you want to put a transmission in it stop driving it. My 07 did same thing twice. First time I put a transfer case computer thing in it. Next time I was limping it to the shop and it's like it free wheeled and all the sudden caught. No more anything after that. You could pull it down in first and I would pull but ended up having to put a transmission in it. Just a heads up.

Usually the trac & stability lights will come on with the check engine light if it is having a drivability (can't spell) issue. I bet it is something pretty simple, may not be, but we see the combination alot

First things that come to mind, speed sensor, wiring at trany, loose ground wire.

Buddy's dog chewed up the harness at the trany on his 06 Gmc and it shifted funny and turned all the lights on. Lots of possible things it could be.

Dealership says intake gasket is bad. $549 then ( I could be wrong here) ebscm? Something with the traction control is also wrong. Two separate problems. Another $600!! Funny I didn't have any problems when I took it to get the cracked head replaced. Wtf?

Intake gasket should be covered under warranty by the shop that put the heads on. If not, they are easy to do.

Electronic Brake Control Module, that is the traction control, and $600 for one is fawking cheap, we looked for one for my buddies dad's Avalanche for 6 months, infinite backorder, no used ones to be had. Usually the stupid built in relay either sticks or shorts out.
