I need a 1.5 inch bender die. I have a jd2 and a hossfeld universal bender. I can make about any brand of die work.

I will buy if possible.:corn:
rent if needed:awesomework:
borrow for weekend:cheer:

thanks:beer:

Brad how would you use a pro tools die in a jd2 bender or hossfeld are they compatible?

never used a protools bender, but I have a jd2. all these benders are based off of a hossfeld.:awesomework:
Im pretty sure I can rig about anything in the hossfeld. I have a ton of pins and riggins just no 1.5 die/shoes. I have 1.5 dies on my ben pearson, there just to tight of a radius to bend more than about a 50-60 degrees. I normally dont use much 1.5 but I have a few sticks to use on a cage for my DD.

where do ya live?

and yes pro tools dies work in a JD2 bender.

Huh? is this some redneck fix i dont know about?

i was thinking he had some way of sliding past the gaul marks in the die followers.... i had to buy new followers for our 1 1/2" die and the newer ones are entirely different but my 2" followers have a few gaul marks from dirty tube.

yeah, i always spray the tube with brake clean, then grease up the die. if gauling starts i try to jump on it before it gets bad. i had to replace one at work that was gauled super bad, then some idiot that didnt know how to use the bender broke it.

My die is about 7-8 years old. Its the crappy follower material that gouges easy(even with clean tube and plenty of chain lube). I have yet to buy the new follower inserts. Anyway if you put a layer or 2 of duct tape on the follower it wont gouge the tube as bad.

better spend extra time to bend a super clean gouge free tube so you can bash it on granite?:;
