I have spent over 100 hours alone reading just the Hardline Discussion Forum. Day one with RickyB smiling at his desk with a desktop, all the way to me typing right now on an IPad. Ups, downs, infighting, arguments, all of it. With all of this reading, I did miss meetings, rides and all the bullshitting that seems like it would be priceless.
I cannot speak to where the club aspect goes, as I am not a member. I would like to interject on what I think about the forums. I freaking love this place. I spend a lot of my free time here and I get 90% of my internet wheeling info/bullshitting done here. I will assist in any fees, time consumption from tech support, policing forums, etc.
I know there has not been a meeting in a while, but I think that needs to happen sooner than later. Nan is wanting to run the Shamrock Run, there are fees that will be due for hosting the forums, I would like to sit down and be properly introduced to folks so that they know who I am and what I think and can help provide for the forum, future HL forum rides, merchandise (I have already been hit up for hoodies, stickers an shirts). I am sure there is more and would love to hear feedback instead of crickets.
P.S. - as I have read all posts, I would not want to profit off of any merchandise. It could be used to offset fees for web hosting and the rest used to donate to charity. My son has cleft lip and palate and I personally donate to smiletrain.org every year. That could be a possibility, or any other suggestions would be gladly accepted, as I will make my donations regardless.
P.S.S. - I am not JohnG nor am I trying to be him or emulate him. I am me and probably overstep, as I usually do. This being said, if is up to me, this forum will be around (and not monetized) for a long time. I love it, breathe it and try to live it on a daily basis. Life isn't easy, nor is taking the hardline. I choose Hardline because it fits my lifestyle and for the most part, it accepts me for me. Any problems, catch me here first by PM, because I check 5-6 times a day. Text me second 3-4 times a day at 256.615.1608 and lastly by email at 2X daily @ [email protected].
