Put a new fuel shutoff on my truck from thoroughbred diesel and fixed problem for a while now back to not wanting to start... I can turn key on and by hand pull solenoid up and it will start... Battery cable smoking a little so I cleaned... Starts for now but has anyone had problems with fuel shutoff ? It has the p7100 pump on it...

Check the fuel shut off relay and also the fuseable link off the drivers side battery its the blue wire either of these cans cause you problems with this.

x2. The blue wire is used for the "pull" action of the solenoid. Once it is pulled in, there is another wire that "holds" the solenoid in.

Fixed a bunch of them by just cleaning the battery connections,so maybe you've already fixed it. thumb.gif

You should have sold it to me and you would not be having this problem!!
