1310's.......

bout damn time there was a 1310 thread started :flipoff1:

My old rig had them on 1 tons and 44's for several years. They finally gave out though and then upgraded to 1350's.

I had one on my current setup....ended up like this when my main shaft broke.

oh ya, the shaft on the right is a Toyota, I have broken 3 of those...... :dunno: people claim (especially Jess at HAD) they are 1330 strength.....
never blew out the caps though...I am ugrading I am tired of something breaking almost EVERY time I go out somewhere. it is worth the upgrade for me and my heavy ass rig. 1410s baby

x2 on the crusty ol yota joints not giving up..
i beat the piss outa mine and i imagine their oem 96 models... 8)

I used to have a 1310 in a rig with tons and 44's with my current 350 sbc and a doubler. In double low on pavement in 4wd I could blip the throttle and the 1310 in the front would break every time. It was hilarious ... blip, break, replace, blip, break, replace. I changed about 2 per trip until I finally stripped out the d300 I had and upgraded to 1410 when I replaced the d300 with an Atlas. I've never looked back after 1410's. 1410 will eat your lunch.

I have always ran 1310's and have broken them thinking that was supposed to happen, you know the weak link. But since I have upgraded to an Atlas and 1350's I don't worry about much any more. Keep em greased and let em rip. Not a hater, just preferred. Just wish the person breaking them would carry spare parts......P..... caveman out. :flipoff1:

I told him to get up... hell I even took off my fancy Hardline shirt so I could lay in the trickling spring water of mucky muck. laughing1

I have a 1350 on the front but also have a CV on the TC so I have a pretty good angle. But if the front end is bounced a good bit and compressed it will cause some rubbing on the pinion joint but no failure so far.

I have a whole case of 1310's I will give you P. Not that you can use anything but the caps since you run a fancy ass Tom Woods offset joint and don't carry a spare "fuse" as you call it! :flipoff1:

those of us that do run 1310s with no problems seem to all have the same thing in common, we ran 6.17s with 44s.... {jab,me, bigsilly... ect Yall think that gearin is maby the reason? I think p runs 4.88s ircc Just for thought. skully
