So I'm going tomorrow to help my buddy finish up my build and he went and got 1985 half ton chevy front calipers and they are about 1/4" to narrow. If the pads were all worn out they would work but the pads are newer. Can anyone give me some ideas on different calipers to try or look at that might be a little wider. I have searched a lot and most say that the caliper he bought will work. But they are not quite wide enough. Brakes are the last thing to do to finish the build so I'm needing to get parts tomorrow morning. Thanks for any help.

All I wanted to do was change calipers cause the previous owner stripped all the bleed screws out. So with the new wilwood pedal setup we can't get the brakes to bleed all the way.

Take the old calipers with u and see what u can find. Should have some numbers on it to where u could have a parts store tell u exactly what it is

1977 Chevy K20 4wd front rotors and calipers work fine. Did this last week.

Thank you fellas. I will try anything at this point. I'm gonna try just getting the calipers but if I need to get rotors also I will. Thanks again.

C20 caliper work too if I remember correctly, and the hose comes out at a different angle/location (might make it easier to run lines in some cases)

I remember on a one ton Ranger that I had, it had C20 brake hoses on the rear, they have a built in tab to mount them. I just welded a 1/4" bolt to the spring plate and bolted the hose down. Easy.
