Allright im building the pinion on my 14 and i made sure all races are seated and i heated bearing on. Earing heater drop into place put yoke on tighting her up toruqed to 325 ft/lbs and its still real loose like the crush sleeve hasnt even budged any ideas first time to attempt to set gears up

Be sure you've got the crush sleeve turned the right way, some of them have one end slightly larger than the other and when you start to crank them down, they will go over the lip on the pinion shaft instead of crushing. It is almost impossible to get a crush sleeve started collapsing without an air impact wrench but be careful, once they start to crush, they go pretty quickly. I think it's helpful to put a paint mark on your socket so you can tell how far it's turning, you only want to go a few degrees at a time until you reach the proper preload. Sometimes only two or three hits with an impact is the difference between too much and not enough. You can give me a call if you want, Rich nine one three nine 63 nine 029

Measure your old crush sleeve and put your new one in a press and get it started, check it with calipers till you get remotely close, once you get it started it will be a lot easier. Make sure to get the rotational torque right that's the only way to make sure it's crushed right. The majority of the problems I've seen is people not getting the crush right and the gears bouncing on each other. Hope that helps

ECGS sells a solid spacer and shim set. Very well worth the few bucks. I hate crush sleeves

Solid is the only way to go IMO. I've seen crush sleeves fail due to shock loads.
