Here is one of the issues with my truck. The defroster did not work worth a **** when I bought it.

I started looking around to see why it did not work.
1.) I changed out the control unit since one of the knobs was broke off.
2.) I followed the wires to see where they hooked up to and this is what I found when I followed the wires to the heater/defrost wire.
Here are the pictures:

What I am trying to find out is what am I missing to get my defroster to work?

Any help would be great.

Looking at the picture your not missing anything. To me it looks as if either you have some funky wiring going on or the heater core is just burnt out! You can get a nice super hot fomr napa for $120 that will pump out some serious heat and defrost that bitch in the dead of winter!!!!

Thanks, when I was inspecting, it looked like everything was in place. Where the wires are now there are mounts that screw into that plastic thing.

Ya I know in my buddies rig(we were working on it just yesterday) his wires are all wrapped up in one bunch and there is alittle like clip bracket on top of the heater core the screws down and holds the wires in one exact place.

Anyways if anything needs improving in our old rigs heat would definetly be one of them:haha: I know my cab feels like there is multiple holes open to the air, even in the summer it stays pretty cool with all the extra air getting in:rolleyes:

Good luck! Get that thing ready for beatin, I put my truck through its paces for sure:corn:
