Looks like I'm retarded and I have to start a new photobucket account. So no pics yet.

Here's the deal, I picked up a 1989 Toyota Pickup DLX standard cab, short box 22re 5 spd. It has a torsion lift with a shackle spacer in the rear. 203k mi.

It has a new toyota transmission in it and I'm putting together a remanufactured PROFormance engine. I've ordered everything I'm just waiting on parts. I gotta admit finding a new fuel rail was a #####. Had to phone a friend stationed in Japan to send me one. I did an LCE Engineering intake and a trail gear header.

I'm gonna run 32x12.50 tires and I'm trying to decide if I want another new Toyota P/S unit or to upgrade to a Trail Gear RAM? I dunno, more research is needed.

I do have an All-Pro Front bumper being built for my Smittybilt XRC 9500 winch and KC LED driving lights. I have the TG rear bumper installed already and I'm waiting to get the Grommets welded onto the All-Pro rocker protections.
It's my birthday tomorrow and its gonna be close to 100 here so no back yard mechanicing for me.

Suggestions? I'm always open to new ideas.

Thanks

Okay, so I think I can get this to work. For some reason it crashed my ipad when I tried to use the "insert photo" option listed above. So we'll try it from the Windows whatever laptop I have.

This is how it was when I picked it up. I didn't think it was too bad for $3k.

Then I put a little work into it and some new tires and wheels, I really think this is the biggest single improvement you can do to any vehicle.

Then I moved onto the rear bumper. The front and sides will come later. They haven't been completely fabed yet.

I used Herculiner on the bed. It's a kit I got off of Amazon. It recommends using gloves.... I'd strongly encourage that because it took a week to get that black crap off my hands.
I put a Lund box on there and the D ring. I didn't delete my plate because it's not really that hard to find me regardless.

And here is how it sits now.

I put that rock shield on there because it had one before that wore spots in the paint. I'm not really a fan though. Also, you can see I scrapped the stock seats for some Corbeau Baja RS seats. I put seat heaters in them for some of our wonderful PNW cold hike days. This rig will primarily be to get me to trails. You can see my commuter in some of these pictures, the Honda CRZ. It's ok, but it has REALLY low ground clearance.

Let me know what you think, I'm open to suggestions.
