Um doesn't a GM 1 wire only have 1 wire! WTFOk some people sell 1 wire alternators that still have the terminals for the #1 and #2 wires. If this is what you have try unplugging them and see if that works. On a 3 wire the #1 is only used to supply a gound to turn on the idiot light, nothing else! Then #2 can be looped directly to the B+ terminal as a sensing wire for the regulator. B# usually goes to the starter to keep it as short as possible.:naughty nanner:
