1st gen toyota ignition testing

Toyota quit wanting to crank, starter is good, battery is charged. Everything is tight well I was thinking it may be the ignition switch cause none of the gauges are working or any accesories.

Anyone know where to ohm this thing at to see if it is good?

Guys all the ignition switches oreilly has sent have only had 4 wires. So I need one any ideas?

The diagram only shows 4 wires, how many does yours have? Did it ohm out ok?

Mine has six. It isn't sending the right voltage out when in start position.

My truck is a 83 DLX. Parts stores are sending switches with four wires. Looking on Internet does 82 have six maybe they put some 82 parts on 83

I live in Cullman. I went by napa and they found it. Oreily doesn't have the part boxed labeled from manufacture. Thanks though.

Oreilly ordered me that same part three times here in Cullman. All three times it was the wrong part. It shows correct part in picture the wrong part comes in. BWD and Import direct.

Where does it get messed up? Does the plug with 4 wires come or is there two sets of 6 wire? I'll look around at my store tonight and let you know if I have any luck

The one with 4 wires keeps coming. I crossed referenced a switch for a 85 celica it seems to be the same thing as that year model truck. I got one on the way from autozone It will be here tomorrow. Hopefully it is right.
