2001 Wrangler Sport

Has anyone out there disconnected the "push the clutch in to start mode" on a 2001 Wrangler? How do I do that?

Should be a nuetral safety switch down by the pedal. Just unplug it and put a jumper in there.

Look at the fuse panel behind the glove box. Plug a 20A fuse into the lower left slot that says "Auto trans" and it will disable the neutral safety switch.

Info was found HERE...read post number 7.

I just tested it out on my girlfriend's 2000 TJ & it worked fine.

When I did mine I put a toggle switch in series with the fuse, just in case someone else was driving for some reason, they wouldn't be able to start it with no clutch in gear.

I put a switch inline on mine that way when I want to start it with the jeep in gear I can. But if someone else is driving it, they won't freak out when they try to start it in gear.
