Not mine but I think I will end up fixing it...

Big boom spinning tires in snow then lots of noise when in 4wd, driver’s side front axle wiggles at the 3rd member side and the axle seal on the third is leaking...

So I think the axle is busted inside the 3rd and the seal and bearing are gone now as well?

Any other thought? I have not pulled anything apart yet.

scott--just to warn you--I suggest having a shop do it--they SUCK!!!! Also if you plan on doing it yourself--get a used diff ready to swap in. We have seen about 10 failed front diffs...

Yea that is what I was thinking, maybe something else up there went boom...

So I was think of just replace the whole unit up there.... I found out that there are 3 different gears ratios available and spalding has all 3...

But not sure which gear ratio it has...
