We have separate finances and money, but file jointly
Getting back over 4k, but bought a house, put a bunch of energy star **** in it, when I work I gross weekly amounts that make it look like I should make 80k, and file single, but then only make 40k, so I get a shitload back. It makes up for her 1099's on lifeguard training and catering and ****. Her CC is more than that, so not ahead by any means. :

I guess I really shouldn't be complaining, she took about 46K worth of her debt, student loans, cc, tahoe, that was tied to me. So besdes the house, which I got, I only owe on about 11K worth of stuff. :
