Will the rear yoke off my ford's 205 ('78 stuck to a np435 if it matters) fit on my chev's 205('78 stuck to a sm465). I know the input splines are different but what about the outputs?

Isn't the chev a slip yoke rear and the Ford fixed? You can interchange the whole rear output assembly between the two and modify the driveshaft to match.

the ford's oupputs are 32spline. . . where as the chevy change depending on the tranny they are attached to I believe

I might be off on the year of the chev but they're both fixed. Stole the driveshaft from the ford and found out it has a 1350 yoke while the chev has a 1310. Sounds like I'll be doin a couple tear downs tomorrow.

Thanks for the input:beer:

You shouldn't really have to do a tear down. Go to pirate and do a search. There's some good detailed info there.

Found what I needed. Sounds like they should just swap out. I'll find out tomorrow :awesomework:
