I had my truck melt two of my plug wires in half tonight on the header after my plug wire separator finally melted. What are you people running to keep the wires up off the header? Did I forget to put the stock holders back on the valve cover or something when I rebuilt the motor? If not, what are people running to keep them from laying on the header?

I don't know why the wires would be dangling near the header. I have used the stock wire holders for many years and have had no issues with burned wires.

Do you have stock holders that go off the top of the valve cover? There should be some bolt holes that go along the driver's side of the valve cover with plug wire holders in them.

i havent had a problem either. i run an lc header with stock plugs(only ones that fit worth a dam) with the fancy plug holder(u get new ones with factory plugs:D ). i guess if your still having a problem you could get those little plug boot protecter thingies:redneck:

I must be missing the stock holder... Hmmm Guess Im gonna have to look for one in a junk yard or something.

EDIT: Just realized I have a complete motor sitting around I could look on

I super ghetto'd it. I just used some zip ties to tie them up and away from the header.

Yeah, I used a long ass zip tie and tied them off to the breather on the valve cover for now, but I want to get something nicer looking eventually since hte engine is the best looking part of my truck, lol.
