22R Fuel economy

Which carb works the best on a 22R for fuel economy? Stock or a Weber? :corn:

I'd say stock.

As always, STOCK. If anything has been altered or changed such as exhaust, gearing, tires, ignition, parts removed "for more power", need I go on, it's a little harder to get "true-mileage" or even original mileage. Normal wear and tear also are to be considered.

!!!!BUT:::
You CAN rejet a weber carb much easier than a factory carb. Just remember that weber's work best on lower fuel pressure. The fact that they are more responsive is due to the jetting they come with out of the box. Its a guestimate made years ago by carb designers at weber/cannon/redline. Wanna know more?

Then could you explain why installing a header and larger cat-back exhaust has increased my gas mileage and power over stock?
