Ok guys here's my Problem. 22r engine, was rebuilt about a year ago with LC Engineering kit. Started getting a lot of blow by through pcv and valve cover breather last week. Actually ran better than it ever has believe it or not. Ran compression test. #1-90lbs #2-4 120lbs. Plugs are clean, no oil use, and no smoke from exhaust. Now if it does require a rebuild would you replace main and rod bearings again or just check and reinstall new rings? Also any ideas what else it could be?

I'd run till it blows!

Rod and main bearings are cheap...

I've debated that lol. But I also was planning on selling it (possibly). I'm too honest to sell something not up to par.

Agreed run it till she blows it will either last a month or forever don't fix it if it ain't broke

If it is low miles I would just rering the bad cyl and check and change head gasket then leave the rest alone ! give it a chance then run it till she blows.

I pulled it apart. It had the parts in the guy that rebuilt said it did. But all cylinders were out of spec. Ring gap was entirely too large and Cylinders smooth as Glass. Pistons were to small for bore and I guess he tried to slap rings in it. That's why I had low compression. And I would have run it like that but the smoke from the pcv and valve cover breather was pretty bad, even with hoses ran to frame it still filled the cab. Every thing else looked good. Just going to have head decked, crank and rod journals checked then put it back together. New pistons rings and bearings and it'll be good as new. The motor is only about a year old.
