22r - Stuck/bent valve

Intake on #1 is stuck open and the valvetrain is making a huge racket. Am I going to cry when I take the head off and look at the top of the piston? It ran for a short period of time like this while I was trying to figure out WTF the problem was.

I wish the person who rebuilt the bottom end had mentioned this "sticky valve" earlier, instead of assuming it would be ok once the motor got some oil flowing.

BTW it's very stuck, possibly bent if I'm seeing things correctly. I couldn't tap it loose from the top.

This project is turning into a nightmare. Got it together and ran it for a few minutes... needs a new water pump, something's wrong with the alternator wiring or the alternator I bought for it is junk, and now this.

Well, it left a little mark on the top of the piston, but it looks like I should be able to slap the other good head I have back on and get 'er back together before this weekend.

I drove by you yesterday I think it was and saw you hooking up the flatbed. I wanted to blow black smoke all over you, but I was going the wrong way.

Let me know if you need any more bent valves. I just did a top end on a 22R-E where the timing chain guides fell apart and it jumped 7 teeth on the cam sprocket. The poor guy aced the cylinder head and now I have a full set of paper weights.

That musta been tuesday you drove by. I was heading up to Leavenworth for my dad's B-day and taking the trailer back up there. You shoulda stopped in to say hi.

Hey, got any spare 22re alternators and water pumps laying around you want to part with cheap? I'm just trying to get this damned thing back together so I can get it sold, it's been a nightmare so far.
