89 22re,for some odd reason around 1200 RPM the truck has a miss/bobble and then the timing goes to full advance:eeek: but it raps out fine and seams to idle/run fine, i have tried a none good TPS,AFM, distributer, coil, igniter and nothing has made a differance, running out of idea's:booo:

maybe the computer is wack or somethin... any info or ideas is greatly appriciated

thanks in advance

any input is greatly appriciated i don't think i am the only one running a 22RE :haha::corn:

my friends truck was doing that and it had a bad egr valve. I unhooked the vacuum line to the egr valve and it ran fine.

i don't have en egr valve, i took off all the emmisions chit couple block off plates and some rubber caps

i have seen a few right ups on loosing your emissions garbage and all i read was positive fead back motors seamed to run normal :eeek:

have you checked all your vacuum lines for cracks or any that came loose? definetly sounds like a vacuum issue to me.

yes the only two or so vacum lines i have are new and not leaking as far as i no... i will check them again just to be sure

22re

I sank a 85 22re and Eplased computer maf<mass air flow sensor> and few others. same issue never fixed it. but the vacume lines in thosedo play a role the re is sensitive to those 2 vacume lines. I did find the issue lies between the tps and maf and a cold start choke sensor <timing the tps to the maf sensor. the shitty thing is the timing works off ohms < the load between the sensors, they are all so sensitive a dirty conection, aded splice ect can add drag to the circut causing a fals reading at the computer. JUST RUN IT HOW IT IS OR SELL IT AND HAVE A NEW SET OF PROBLEMS. OH WAIT use the air screw by the throtel buterfky this may fix your issue but cause a rough ,rich idle or rich running when hot or lean when cold, but theirs a good chance adjusting the screw will cure the spudder at 1200 rpm. one for another,
