The hard part is getting the top two bolts off the 249 when your removing it. I ended up removing the floor access panel from above to get it out.
The swap is not hard. When you remove parts set them in order in how they we removed. Make sure the input shaft is the same, if not remove it from the 249 and swap it into the 242. This is a weekend job for a 1st timer. You will need a GOOD snap ring tool, and a new C/V drive shaft.
