Im going to get a 2nd job, budget is tight and I need to make some extra monies for Xmas and all that stuff. Bills are killing me and Amber wont be pulling any money until next year.

I only really have one place in mind right now since its close and I know the store manager pretty good ... Advanced Auto in Sumiton is on my radar . I know he was looking for coverage but dont know ( Im calling him around 11 when he gets in today. ) Thats a place that would be open later into the evening and open on weekends for me to get some hours.

What other stuff can you think of that wouldnt bring the full on suck ? **** Id work a food joint I dont give a damn as long as it isnt some fast food junk. Maybe like a BBQ cook or something of that nature I dont know.. I need idear's thumb.gif ( No Green Top, dammit that place is stinky. laughing1 )

Trying to be thought full of my "route" so between the airport and la casa.. hell G'dale area should have some options as well :dunno:

feDex/ups night truck loader. I am thinking about this come holiday time as they are usually looking for extra help. Plus I think it pays decent.

Wesley's Boobie Trap? :dunno:

if there was one place that stunk worse than Green Top, that damn sure would be it. laughing1

( dayum, Im adding a GD pukey smilie today... this is getting old )

Hmmm good call Bones, **** they run long night hours too = mo scrilla my nilla !

Put an ad in Craigslist for youre "SERVICES" I know there would be some takers. They may stink but their green spends, and you may still feel dirty about it after a shower. molaugh

How about eBay. Just find someone that will ship direct to your customer and put it up. There is a guy selling a LOT of Wabro fuel pumps, another selling a LOT of Miller welders. Just find something and go to town, money is on eBay for the asking. Why work more hours.

If you are going to try Wesley's. Wait till after halloween when wigs will be priced lower. In the mean time, put up a piece of DOM in the shop and practice your pole technique, hate for you to get hurt on the job. :flipoff1:

Applied for a seasonal part time "thrower" job at UPS. They pay weekly too :afro:
LMK how that pans out with pay and hours. I have entertained this idea for years and never acted on it.

food = smell like food = feel like crap... Been there and done it for a long time and won't go back!
agree with Rob on that. Working a BBQ is good experience if you get trained on the smoker. It carries over to cooking your own meat at home. But slicing meat, and making samiches, or working a grille with a flat iron, fawk that!

I did some time in a BBQ in P-town. Brownies BBQ at the airport. Did dishes, then worked up to making orders, then ran the smoker for about 2 years. People would fly in to eat my ribs! They'd get calls to see who was cooking what and then if my ribs were listed they were in the AIR! Funny thing, I dont eat pork.

Good experience though, and you can say you smoke meat. :flipoff1:

May try AAA Cooper trucklines on Pratt Highway. I had a buddy work there unloading trucks in the evening and made decent for a second job

I worked a BBQ joint in Olathe when in high school and had a great time there. I know the drill :afro:

Im hoping UPS or the Advanced option works out. Be alot better scenario either way. Really want to work at the Advanced since its right up the street from the house. thumb.gif

And maybe parts will be cheaper? hitit

hells yea.

My brother just quit the bar/grill we have both worked at. He's been there 4 years, I worked there 5 off-and-on... Combined almost a decade of restaurant experience! laughing1 laughing1 laughing1

I got badddd burns there though. Fawk fryer oil.... cost them around $200k to fix my legs ----Too bad it wasn't in Missouri--I woulda walked away with a decent check but probably blown it on some stupid toys and beer laughing1

You should consider putting an ad on craig's list for you mechanical skills. I wouldn't be surprised if you pulled in $50 - $100 an hour for fixing cars, welding on people's junk, etc.

It's not as steady or predictable but you can a lot more money than you would at autozone.

I applied at UPS and was overqualified. I mean, went in, did the whole tour of the place, sit down interview, etc. Then get a letter, not a good fit.
I need grow room, upward mobility and a challenge. They need a robot. Keep that in mind when you interview, tailor it to that.
