I live in northeast Mississippi, and looking for a nice anniversary trip for me and the wife that isnt going to break the bank. It is our 12th anniversary April 26, cant believe she has put up with me that long. We are shooting for leaving after dropping kids at school on 4-22 or late the night before, and coming back late 24 or early in the day 25. Due to a friend's wedding on the 25th. Any good recommendations?

This may be way off cause I never knew your last name but is this Mississippi Mike that knows Brent with the overtime buggy?? I know sounds stupid but never knew you was on here if its you.

Anyway the Marriot is pretty nice if you decide to go there let me know SOMETIMES I get some pretty decent rates. I got on here to tell you to consider the cabins up by AOP or Scottsboro has some nice cabins up on the lake if you want kind of a Gatlinburg getaway without the drive. Probably still a 3-3.5 hour drive to either for you. The AOP cabins were posted on here at one time. Very resonible with looked to be some great views. Also I think they sold most of them off but if you want a cabin on the water then doublehead is pretty nice for a short getaway prob 2 hour drive for you. If you like to eat like I do the. The Joe Wheeler lodge is resonible and has a kick ass seafood buffet on weekends or decently close to Lash's seafood place on the water. Ok that got random as hell but message me if you want more info on any of them.

Chattanooga

You can goto Ruby Falls, Rock City, Incline Railway. Up the interstate about an hour is the underground sea.

Not to mention all the great places to eat or drink, Civil War history, and AOP is close if you bring your rig.

Yea, I mentioned taking the rhino or tjunk and she vetoed that quick. I thought I was a republican bill on Obama's desk it was so fast.

Marriott in Florence is pretty nice place

We stayed there a few years ago and it was really nice, but the entertainment options are limited in Florence and its very far off for a getaway.

Chattanooga also sounds like a great place to visit, my inlaws have traveled through there a lot and bragged on it. I would definitely do a little research where ever you go, I always hate going to a new place and having to just drive around and try to find interesting places. The days are gone before you know it and you miss out on the stuff that only locals sometimes know of.

Im sure there are guys on here that can help in that department.

What do yall think about hot springs ar? Wish I could do some offroading but she already vetoed that. Any other suggestions?

She keeps coming back to hot springs. I know there is the ohv park, but what else. Any recommendations.

I have been through ArKANSAS 6 or 7 times & never saw anything worth staying for other than loose women, hunting, & wheeling.... sounds like trouble to me molaugh
