I've got a 31 spline 9" thats in pain right now....my question is, should I just throw a full spool, new gears, and some yukon 31spline alloy shafts, or do the 35 spline spool w/ 35 spline yukon alloys....

am I going to break 31 spline alloys? Is it worth the money? Are yukons even worth it (been hearing BAD things about them lately....)?

You're asking two seperate questions.

One, should I go 31 or 35?

Two, which alloy shaft should I buy?

I run Warn and Mosier shafts. And yes, get the biggest damn shaft that the housing and budget can afford.

Yup, 2 questions.

I can't afford either, so either way, it'll be on a credit card :flipoff:

Do it once, and be done with it. You can polish something to death only to break it, of you can beef it up and not worry about it when you need to get silly with the throddle.:clappy:

Its not a "forever" rig is my thing.....we all know the fawkin' ZJ ain't going to last forever.....and $ is tight.....

Just keep building it right, and when you wad it up to the point of throwing it in the trash metal bin you still have good axles to toss into the next rig.

i have 31 spline alloys and i've beat the **** out of them. I run a full spool and 4.88 with 37 mtrs and ive never worried about that rear end blowing up. Good luck either way and hopefully you get to wheel that thing soon

go with 35 spine if you are worried about that, if $ is that tight use the spool
and some chromo shafts, or your current shafts
