3rz tacoma 2.7 swap Q's from Distributor to coil pack engine

ok. Debating on swapping squirrels while i've got my rig all apart..

Currently have a 96 model sas with the distributor type 2.7

Engine is getting a little tired and I have a 12k mile 2.7 sitting in a wrecked 2000 double can pre runner... its the non-distributor coil-pack type.

What all would I have to rob off the donor truck to pull this swap off...
How much is compatible? gauge cluster, o2's, MAF sensor

thinking just swap computers and rock out, but not sure. any help appreciated.. :fish:

Gotta love an honest man.

I would think that you could plug up the computer that goes with the motor and it should run. Swap the harness over if you are doutin anything. The truck runs now why want it run when you swap it over?

after some research found that the top ends are completely different.. old tired engine may have more ponies than the new one...

guess im just gna save the new engine and auto for the buggy build.... ;D
