4.0L & 4.2L intake manifolds

Can you bolt a Jeep I-6 4.2L intake manifold on a 4.0L head?

No... different configuration.

if your looking to convert it to EFI, just go with a GM throttle body set-up. Much easier and easier to fix when broke. Plus very realiable.

you are wrong.... intake will work both ways... exhaust/header has to be changed.

the 4.2 intake and 4.0 are interchangable

i just did a 4.0 head on my .258 about 6 months ago and used my 4.2 intake.

The intake works, but the exhaust ports were reconfigured so the header for a 4.0L won't cover the exhaust ports on a 4.2L head.
